Small Steps | Surfing in Whangamata New Zealand

I am afraid of deep water. Well water that I can't see the bottom to and that makes a lot of noise! I freeze up. This becomes a problem when one of my dreams is to learn how to surf. When I was in Whangamata New Zealand I had an opportunity to learn to surf. It took me three days but I was able to get over my fear and surf. I even stood up a few times lol.

Cathedral Cove New Zealand

We traveled for about an hour on the north Island of New Zealand to a place called Cathedral Cove. It was an Iconic spot. It was like walking into a postcard. Recommend going here if you decide to see New Zealand.

It was November 2014 when I left of a journey that changed my life. I had always wanted to travel but I was afraid if I did I would disappoint the people I loved. It took me years until one day I had a dream that gave me the courage to drop everything I was doing to travel around the world.
